Welcome
This is Moorevineyard.com. The site contains genealogical information related to the Moore family of Bracken County, Kentucky and the Fisher family of Trimble County, Kentucky. I'll update the contents of this site any time I get new information, but because I still have to earn a living, updates may come inconsistently. I hope this is useful to someone, and please feel free to let me know what you think. Any suggestions are welcome.
Current Research Scope
There are two main information areas, right now: one for the Moore Family, and one for the Fisher Family. All the work I do is done with the goal of writing a descendent report. In other words, I'll find the oldest ancestor that I can, and then list all of his or her children, the children's children, and so on. I picked these two names because, as far as I know, there is very little published information about them, and they share a very similar history in Kentucky and Indiana which makes it easy to research them together.
I have traced both families back to the early 1800's, but there are still large blocks of information missing about the descendents. As it gets more and more difficult to find information, I will probably begin research on other branches of my family, and adding other sections for them to this site. Right now, however, I've only organized the information from the Moore side. So the Fisher section of this site will be empty for a while. If you're interested in the Fisher info, just drop me a line with the Contact Page.
Using the Site
Aside from the Moore and Fisher data, this site has:
- A Forum - I'll post update notices and answer questions from there (if anyone starts to use it).
- Information About The Site - About me, my research, and how this site was put together.
- Links - These may help you do your own research.
You can always use the menus in the header and footer of each page to navigate between the major sections of the site. The menu to the left will change so that you can navigate within each section.
